Word was released this morning from IWL Entertainment headquarters that all Internet Wrestling League Events would be placed on hold temporarily while Talent Relations attempts to negotiate contracts with several prospects.
“We knew this was going to happen and has happened to the IWL several times. It seems our roster finds greener pastures that often can’t be passed up and alas, here we are.” stated Paul Williams in a late night press call. No word on a definitive date, but Williams was optimistic that the IWL would see a return within due time. “I feel we have a great amount undone and everyone knows that I’m not about to just walk out on the IWL. To prevent boredom to our fans, and roster, however… we felt it was best to suspend action for a little bit.”
OverDrive [97] is in the books as almost all hell broke loose between disgruntled tag-teams were forced into competition and special guest referee’s having their decisions overturned by Paul Williams, it was a rough night out for everyone. We exit OverDrive more confused than we were entering it. Two teams have punched their tickets to face off against each other at Unbounded for the Internet Wrestling Legue World Tag Team Championship. A shocking ending to the number one contendership match has the IWL Brass racing for answers and Date Night has came and ended. Find out the happenings on the latest edition of OverDrive.
The announcement of the re-opening of the Internet Wrestling League Tag Team Division, has the IWL in a buzz once again. There will be two qualifing matches held, one will be Pretty Intimidating {Tha Intimidator & “Pretty Boy” Ira Rakiz} facing off against The Hounds Of Hell {Idole Hands & The Dream Master} and the second match will be Perfectly Ravishing {Ravishing Ron Carr & “2 Perfection” Cecil Bennington} against the two big men Large And In Charge {Fabulous Fat Frank & Big Al}. The winners of those two matches will square off at IWL’s pay per view Unbounded for the IWL World Tag Team Championship. Other action include’s a number one contender’s match for the brand new Internet Wrestling League Television Champion Terror.
Click had a little bad luck and lost his title and is looking to become number one contender and regain the IWL TV Championship, but standing in his is a returning Marcus Gratton.
And it is date night with Terror as he will be metting what many is saying his “biggest fan”. All that and more as the IWL presents OverDrive 96.
Fresh off the pages from the IWL headquarters, the fight card for OverDrive [94] has been unveiled. New to the card will be the debut of the contenders scramble for the #1 Contendership for the IWL World Championship. With no current #1 Contender and the IWL’s return to Pay-Per-View, “Unbounded”, just a few weeks away, Kori Argentum still has no #1 contender. It has been one busy week in the IWL Entertainment offices. A lot of paper work has been signed in regards to the roster, but none can be so big as the major one that will be announced on OverDrive [93] live from the old IWL stomping grounds, the IWL Powerhouse Arena. The new IWL World Champion, Kori Argentum will be in action, Paul Williams will be ready with an announcement regarding her #1 Contender, PLUS the details about who is coming back to the IWL.
Be sure not to miss this one as it will certainly be a thriller. Take a look at the previews.
After causing a double disqualification in the KoCR semi-final round match between Kori Argentum and Gabriel Valhalla, Terror and Loco almost realized their full dream… to cheat their way to the IWL Championship. However, Paul Williams had other plans in mind. As opposed to letting the IWL Championship being award from a farce of a match and a technicality, he ordered that the IWL Championship be decided in a fatal four way dance NEXT WEEK on IWL OverDrive [92].
Kori, Gabriel, Terror, and Loco… Fatal Four Way Dance with the illustrious IWL World Championship on the line…. Who will leave as champion.
