Word was released this morning from IWL Entertainment headquarters that all Internet Wrestling League Events would be placed on hold temporarily while Talent Relations attempts to negotiate contracts with several prospects.

“We knew this was going to happen and has happened to the IWL several times. It seems our roster finds greener pastures that often can’t be passed up and alas, here we are.” stated Paul Williams in a late night press call. No word on a definitive date, but Williams was optimistic that the IWL would see a return within due time. “I feel we have a great amount undone and everyone knows that I’m not about to just walk out on the IWL. To prevent boredom to our fans, and roster, however… we felt it was best to suspend action for a little bit.”

The IWL Site will be down for maintenance this week. Problems started occuring when certain files were being moved within the server. The outages will normally last not much longer than 10-15 minutes.

If it appears for longer, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Well it has been awhile since I posted here, figured I’d update this to give everyone an update.

Right now, things look pretty grim for the Internet Wrestling League and the nine-year old promotion. It’s hard to say that things aren’t going well for it, mostly because that’d be an understatement. We’re trying to get the infrastructure of the site a bit more up to date. This is mostly the application, the forums, and a few other kinks in the news poster (aka WordPress). In addition, scouting around for a roster since we’ve become mostly a “no one wants to go there” kind of promotion which kind of sucks. It’s down to the point of whether or not should it keep going, and with the backing of everyone left, we’ve decided to keep it going. Granted this means that I will likely lose standing with EWZine, RK, ESEN (which we really didn’t get a chance to use), and a few other e-fed communities, but hey we’ll try it again and give it our all out best go. As with each start, our goal is to make it to 12/1, the date of the IWL’s birth. I’m not guaranteeing this will be the IWL of the old, I’m not sure if this will be the IWL of new, but one thing is for sure… it will be the IWL.

So with that in mind, I’m opening up the forums now and the application link above. (After 90 attempts you no longer are required to have an IWL forums account before hand.)
